Event planning, production and staffing.

MCI Events & Productions plans, builds and staffs complete events. Its work covers the site and its permits, the creative direction, the physical build, the crew on the day and the pack-down afterwards. A single team is accountable for every part, which avoids the coordination problems that arise when the stand builder, the staffing agency and the venue each report to a different party.

The site determines much of what a roadshow in Singapore can be. A mall atrium, a public space and a transport node each have their own approvals, load-in windows and rules on what may be built and when. These constraints affect the design, so they are confirmed before the creative is approved.

Key benefits

01

One accountable team

Site, build, crew and pack-down are managed through a single point of contact.

02

Site rules confirmed first

Approvals, load-in windows and build limits are confirmed before the creative is approved.

03

Crew employed directly

Event staff are employed and managed by MCI Events & Productions, including the shift pattern on the day.

04

Post-event report

The results of the event are reported against the objectives it was booked to achieve.

How it works

01

Agree the objective

The client and the team agree what the event must achieve, for which audience, and how success will be measured.

02

Secure the site

The venue, approvals, load-in windows and the resulting build constraints are confirmed.

03

Build and crew

Production and staging are completed, and trained crew are assigned to run the event.

04

Run and report

The event is delivered and packed down, and a report against the objective follows.

Common questions

Can the build and the staffing be handled together?

Yes, and this is the basis of the model. When the build and the crew are contracted separately, coordination on the event day often fails because neither party is responsible for the work between them.

How far in advance should the brief be given?

The site determines the lead time more than the build does. Venue availability and approvals take the longest, so settling the site early leaves more freedom in the design.

Who employs the event crew?

MCI Events & Productions employs the crew and manages their contracts, payroll and shift pattern on the day, including cover if a crew member does not arrive.

What size of event can MCI Events & Productions run?

Events range from single-day activations to mass-participation events. Government campaigns, brand activations and galas have all been delivered under this model.

What does the client receive after the event?

The client receives a report measured against the objective agreed at the start, rather than an attendance figure alone.
