MCICareer Services

Temporary and contract staffing in Singapore.

MCI Career Services provides temporary and contract staff for specific projects, peak periods, employee leave and new workstreams, so that you can adjust the size of your workforce as demand changes.

Delivered by MCI Career Services, part of MCI Group of Companies.

Temporary and contract staffing arrangements.

MCI Career Services sources and places candidates for fixed periods and project-based requirements. The service suits businesses with fluctuating workloads, seasonal demand or changing workforce needs, because it allows a team to be enlarged or reduced without the commitment of a permanent hire.

Billing is arranged according to the nature and duration of each assignment, whether it is a short project or an extended contract role. All terms are agreed in writing before the assignment begins.

Key benefits

01

Hourly rate

The hourly rate suits short-term, ad hoc or project-based assignments where flexibility and cost control matter most. You pay only for the hours worked, which suits variable workloads and short periods of additional support.

02

Monthly rate

The monthly rate suits longer temporary or contract placements that require sustained support over several months, and gives a predictable, consistent billing structure.

03

Citizens and Permanent Residents

Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents can be placed in both short-term and long-term temporary assignments.

04

Work pass holders

Candidates who need a work pass are placed in assignments of one year or longer, in line with Ministry of Manpower work pass validity rules.

Common questions

How quickly can staff start?

Where MCI Career Services holds a candidate pool for the role, staff typically start within a few working days of a confirmed brief.

Can MCI place work pass holders on a short assignment?

No. Ministry of Manpower regulations require work passes to carry a minimum validity of one year and do not permit issuance for short-term assignments, typically under six months. Candidates who need a work pass are therefore placed in assignments of one year or longer. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents can be placed in both short-term and long-term assignments.

How are temporary placements billed?

Temporary placements are billed at either an hourly rate, suited to short-term, ad hoc or project-based assignments, or a monthly rate for longer engagements. Terms are agreed before the assignment begins.

Who employs the workers?

MCI Career Services sources and places the staff, and MCI Outsourcing employs them as employer of record, handling contracts, work passes, payroll and statutory compliance.
